Enjoy Singing Broadway Karaoke

If you enjoy singing and would like to improve your Broadway karaoke this articles for you. Whether you're new to karaoke or someone starting a singing career these tips will help you find your own singing style.

Remember it doesn't matter how great or how lousy you are. You are singing because you like to sing and for your own enjoyment so no one expects you to sing like Donna Theodore.

People that gather at the bar to sing don't' show up because they believe they are the next American Idol. They come because they have a blast singing and just want to let it all out. The most fun and interesting karaoke nights are ones that aren't filled with good singers.

Of courses there are many that are using karaoke as a stepping stone to becoming a professional singer. Perhaps you're looking for a role in the next Broadway production; karaoke is a great way to improve your singing skills.

The most common mistake made is singers choose songs that aren't their style. We've all heard it! Someone that's got a great voice suddenly sounds like they are in a horror movie. When if they had sung a song that was their style and suited their voice they'd have been a real hit.

So on your audition day don't make this mistake! Instead choose a song that is all about you and your style. Here are some tips to help you make the most of your audition.

1. Karaoke Disk
Take your karaoke disc with you. This is what you've been practicing with so if you use your disk you'll do great.

2. Streaming Karaoke
Sign up online for streaming karaoke where you can practice hundreds of Broadway songs and even try thousands of other song types.

3. Change The Key
The difference between awesome and awful can be as simple as changing the key. Don't struggle when all you might need to do is take it up or down a tone. Digital key changers will give you up to 8 steps both directions.

4. Speed It Up
Unless you've got a well trained voice and you've had some training in slow songs it's much better to speed it up a bit. Slower songs need a lot fuller voice to sound good and mistakes are much more noticeable.

A faster song will pick up the pace, put less pressure on you as they don't require as much technical skill, and you can get away with mistakes a lot easier. Besides they'll get the room rocking and when the room rocks the judges will be impressed.

5. Don't Be A Pain
You and many others will be auditioning for the panel and it's important that you don't become a pain. Don't expect things to always go smoothly, the auditions may not go as smoothly as planned. Just go with the flow and don't be asking questions, watching your watch, or asking a lot of questions. Remain professional, patient, and out of the lime light until it's your turn.

6. The Paper Work
Make sure you have completed all your paperwork correctly. Make sure you have listed the correct song you plan to sing. Make sure your contact information is correct so that the board can contact you should you be chosen for a role in the show.

7. Easy Does It
Now enthusiasm is a great thing but keep it professional. Treat the mic like it's your best friend. Don't shout into it, twirl it, or knock it around. It doesn't look cool and you won't impress the panel. Rather treat it like your best friend.
8. Keep It Away
Make sure the mic is about an inch from your mouth. The mic should never come in contact with your face. For those long notes the mic should be farther away and as you hold the note bring the mic in closer near the end which help the note sound stronger.

If you really want to make it on Broadway you should consider singing lessons. Not only are they now affordable they are also available online which is a great way to learn from the comfort of your home. And always be sure to practice your Broadway karaoke. Who knows your name might appear in lights soon.
